The headline news for Filipino truck and SUV buyers: the 3.0-liter Power Stroke V6 turbo-diesel engine has officially arrived, and Ford has significantly streamlined its trim lineup to focus on higher-value, higher-performance variants.

A Major Powertrain Overhaul

The long-running 2.0-liter Bi-Turbo engine has been discontinued. Replacing it is the 3.0-liter Power Stroke V6 Single-Turbo Diesel, producing 250 PS and 600 Nm of torque, now standard on top-tier 4x4 variants and paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

For the more budget-friendly trims, Ford retains the 2.0-liter Single-Turbo EcoBlue diesel engine (170 hp, 405 Nm), but with a notable upgrade: the old wet timing belt has been replaced with a timing chain system, addressing one of the most common long-term reliability concerns owners raised. The 6-speed automatic transmission has also been phased out entirely, with the 10-speed automatic now standard across the board.

2026/2027 Ford Everest: Simplified and Elevated

Ford has trimmed the Everest lineup down, retiring the Trend, Limited, and standard Titanium variants. Leading the new range is the Everest Platinum V6, positioned to compete with premium luxury SUVs.
