About ItsChada – It’s Chada
Chada is short for Pachada, a word uniquely used in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines, or native Kagay-anon. It has several meanings, like expressing something beautiful, excellent, or extraordinary.
“Ka pachada ba kaayo sa imong sanina!” = “Your Dress is so beautiful!”
“Ka pachada ba kaayo dari nga lugar!” = “Wow this place is so nice!”
The author of this blog is Mike Abonitalla. Born and raised in Cagayan de Oro City, and has witnessed the city from a small town in the south of the Philippines to what it is today as a bustling metropolitan city in this part of Northern Mindanao.
Mike is a veteran and pioneer of the Internet in the Philippines; he used to tinker with the Internet way before it arrived here in the Philippines—he opened one of the first Cybercafe or Internet Cafe in the country, particularly in Cagayan de Oro city when the Philippines connected to the Internet way back in the 1990s.
Mike is currently a digital marketing strategist and consultant. Founder and CEO of ThriveSME and ThriveWhiz Digital, a digital marketing agency in the Philippines and the U.S. respectively serving clients worldwide. His digital marketing agency today started as a website designer and web server hosting business way back in the 90s.
