Visa-Free travel to Taiwan is extended in Tuesday as a statement released on July 2 according to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO). Filipinos can easily visit Taiwan visa-free from August 1, 2019, to July 31, 2020.
Filipinos may enter the country and stay for a maximum of 14 days, provided that they possess a valid passport, hotel booking, travel itineraries, and a confirmed return ticket. The visa-free entry is not extendable and begins on the following day of your arrival.
This program was first implemented in 2017 and has since then led to a drastic rise in visitors. TECO reported that 419,000 Filipinos visited Taiwan in 2018, a 44% increase from the previous year.
Reportedly, this visa-free privilege granted to Filipinos has helped boost Taiwan’s tourism by 12.46%.
