November 14, is World Diabetes Day which provides an opportunity to raise awareness of diabetes as a global public health issue and what needs to be done, collectively and individually, for better prevention, diagnosis, and management of the condition.
In line with this, Kalbe International and Diabetasol a nutrition powder for diabetics celebrates the World Diabetes Day at Barangay Kauswagan in Cagayan de Oro City.
It was well attended by the seniors with diabetes in the local community with free sugar testing and advices from doctors on the site. It conducted also a nutrition guidance seminar for the management of having a diabetes condition to prolong life. Conducted by Nutritionist Nita T. Antipuesto, RND, MAGC from Nutrition and Diet Therapy Clinic based in Cagayan de Oro.
Diabetasol was also introduced in the event which is a Nutrition Powder for Diabetics for an alternative as a meal or snack to maintain blood glucose level which is important to manage daily food intake.
Overall the event was successful with all smiles from the attendees having won prizes and freebies going back home.
