Babu Kwan the Moro-themed restaurant in Cagayan de Oro City offers its newest special meals on their menu, the 5 Asian Plates. One of them is its Nasi Kerabu, the rice is colored blue using the natural color of the flowers with healing powers.
Blue ternate flower or also called butterfly pea tea or Clitoria ternatea (commonly known as butterfly pea) is more than just a blue flower. It is a natural memory booster, antioxidant, anti-glycation, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, prevents fatigue, analgesic, anti-asthmatic, reduces stress and anxiety, good for the skin and hair and anti-ulcer.
