In celebration of the upcoming 73rd Charter Day of Cagayan de Oro City, Smart Communications, Inc.’s (Smart) value brand TNT teams up with the local government unit to ramp up the festivities, especially for young Kagay-anons, through a free live concert with Filipino boy group, BGYO.

“We thank the city government of Cagayan de Oro and Limketkai Center for partnering with us to make this event successful. This is also our way of thanking Kagay-anon subscribers and retailers for their loyalty and continued support through the years,” said Bernie Deatras, Smart’s Senior Manager for Customer Development for Northern Mindanao.

As the city began organizing on-site events again, hundreds of locals, subscribers, and retail partners gathered at the Limketkai Atrium for a day full of fun activities, which included bingo games, a dance competition, and a raffle draw, among others. Exciting prizes, including a brand-new motorcycle, were up for grabs.

Concert-goer Divine Lumacada, 23, was grateful to TNT for organizing the event. “TNT was so generous with the prizes and the dance competition that showcased the talents of our young performers. It was such a wonderful experience because I had a chance to see BGYO’s live performance for the first time. Now I’m a full-fledged fan,” she said.

Another BGYO fan, Daphne de la Calzada, shared: “BGYO’s music has made me a big fan since 2020. It is great that TNT is giving talented Filipino artists the platform to shine.”

After their breathtaking performance, BGYO member Gelo Rivera urged fans and subscribers to register their SIMs before the deadline. As part of TNT’s SIM card registration campaign, booths were also set up to entice attendees to register throughout the event.

Twenty-three-year-old Alondra Olandag said, “SIM card registration is one way to prevent future text scams, so I made sure that my parents and siblings are registered as well.”

The event is part of the brand’s nationwide “Tuloy Ang Saya” campaign aimed to encourage Filipinos to stay happy despite challenging times. TNT is powered by Smart, the country’s fastest and best mobile network as recognized by Ookla, the global leader in mobile and broadband network intelligence.
